Yes. We are a public TVET institution under the Ministry of Education, State Department for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (SD-TVET). As a public TVET institution, we provide technical and vocational education and training aimed at developing practical skills, occupational competencies and employable skills.

The qualification or certificate awarded depends on the specific programme, level, curriculum and applicable assessment and certification requirements. For applicable TVET CDACC programmes, qualifications may include Certificates of Competence and National Certificates, depending on the programme and the competencies successfully demonstrated. Applicants should check the specific course information to determine the qualification awarded upon successful completion.

CBET trainees are assessed according to the requirements of their specific competency-based curriculum. For applicable TVET CDACC programmes, competency assessment is conducted in accordance with TVET CDACC assessment requirements. Assessment focuses on whether the trainee has demonstrated the required competencies and may include practical tasks, written activities, projects, portfolios of evidence and other approved assessment methods depending on the programme.

CBET and TVET CDACC are related but they are not the same thing. CBET means Competency-Based Education and Training. It describes the approach used to develop practical occupational competencies. TVET CDACC means Technical and Vocational Education and Training Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council. It is the body responsible for functions including curriculum development, competency assessment and certification within its mandate. Yes. The institution also offers selected NITA (National Industrial Training Authority) programmes. NITA-related training focuses on industrial and occupational skills development and may include relevant workplace, apprenticeship, skills upgrading and industrial training opportunities depending on the programme. We primarily train using the Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) approach under applicable TVET CDACC competency-based curricula. As a public TVET institution under the Ministry of Education, State Department for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (SD-TVET), our training focuses on developing practical skills, occupational competence, knowledge, attitudes and workplace readiness. We have three intakes in a year which are January Intake, May Intake and the main intake being September Intake
